Construction Manager
CurrentMANAGEMENT: Responsible for diverse team of 12 Consolidated Communications construction field technicians in day-to-day operations in 29 towns in Central Maine. Ensures the construction and maintenance of Consolidated Communications telecommunications infrastructure such as cell towers, fiber optic lines, copper lines and other telecommunications equipment. Coordinates with contractors, vendors, state and local agencies and customers, to ensure that construction projects, emergency issues and complaints are completed safely, efficiently, accurately and within budget.PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Develop plans for the construction of telecommunications infrastructure. This involves creating schedules, identifying and procuring necessary equipment and materials, and coordinating with subcontractors and other stakeholders. Tracks progress and ensures that projects progress forward towards project milestones, COMMUNICATION: Utilizes technology such as Zoom, telephones, e-mail, Microsoft teams and other technology to provide regular updates to stakeholders, including executives, customers, and state and local government and contractors, about project status, progress, and any issues or delays. Works with other utilities such as electric companies and cable service providers to ensure projects are moving forward as planned. LOGISTICS: Identifies the equipment and materials needed for telecommunications projects and procuring them from vendors and suppliers. Maintains an accurate inventory of equipment and materials, tracking usage and stock levels, and identifying when new supplies need to be ordered. Manages the storage and organization of equipment and materials in warehouses and distribution centers and ensuring that they are secure and properly maintained. Documents and maintains accurate records of inventory levels, procurement, transportation, and storage activities.
