Ryan is an influential business leader with a track record of driving breakthrough growth leveraging data-driven strategies, including experience leading significant revenue growth as the Chief Marketing Officer for Vail Resorts (NYSE: MTN; ~$3B in Rev with Market Cap of ~$9B) along with 10+ years of management consulting experience at a top tier firm (Boston Consulting Group).During his time at Vail Resorts, Ryan served as the Chief Marketing Officer and was responsible for driving the growth of businesses with ~$3B of revenue through leveraging data-driven marketing strategies. Ryan achieved breakthrough growth in the Epic Pass business, unlocking +75% growth in revenue over his 4 years leading the business. Ryan built a best-in-class data-driven marketing capability, including AI-powered models, to enhance personalization and drive $30M+ of revenue via higher guest conversion. Ryan also led the strategy and execution of many industry-shifting initiatives, including launching Pass Holder Credits and Epic Coverage to navigate through COVID. Ryan also transformed the talent level within his team of 250+ marketers across Product Marketing, Analytics and Insights, and Digital. Prior to joining Vail Resorts, Ryan was a Partner and Managing Director of The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). He was a core member of the Consumer and Strategy practices - playing a key role in driving business at one of BCG’s largest Fortune 50 consumer clients, leading to a significant shift in growth trajectory for his client. He developed deep experience building growth strategies and translating to tangible actions that drive impact. He also helped lead BCG’s highly successful Demand Centric Growth topic, an innovative strategic framework to drive growth via the in-depth understanding of consumer needs. Ryan also played a critical role in recruiting and leadership development – he led recruiting for Advanced Degree Candidates in NA and was a member of the Career Development Committee.Ryan holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and he completed a Financial Technology Option through the Sloan School of Management. He also earned his Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Florida.In his spare time, Ryan loves to travel internationally with his family. Despite growing up in Florida, Ryan developed a passion for snowboarding, and he takes advantage of living in CO to visit the mountains often. Ryan also has a deep love of sport, and he currently scratches his competitive itch playing pickleball.
