VANOC was The Vancouver Organising Committee for the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.After leaving Australia to travel through Canada and South America, the onset of the Global Financial Crisis limited my options for employment as a developer in Vancouver. I chose to work with the Olympic Games as it was an incredible opportunity, teaching me a lot about the testing, deployment, and operation of very large-scale, mission-critical IT systems.
