Provides primary administration for the Special Events operation of the Department of Public Safety and ensures compliance with State, University and Department policies, procedures, and guidelines. Tracks special events on campus and anticipates public safety staffing needs for special events. Serves as initial point of contact regarding special event staffing needs. Obtains event details and explains staffing options and cost to special event sponsors. After consultation and approval by Police Division command staff or other DPS senior administrator as appropriate, posts staffing requirements for university and non-University sponsored events. Maintains database of on-campus special events and coordinates with DPS division directors, other University departments and outside agencies and vendors to ensure special events are properly staffed. Ensures special events and special duty assignments are awarded in compliance with appropriate policies, guidelines and procedures. Prepares and disseminates assignment rosters for events and collects rosters post event and confirms they have proper supervisory verification. Creates and maintains event files, maps and deployment charts. Posts department overtime opportunities. Maintains Special Duty and DOVT assignment books. Reviews construction Maintenance of Traffic plan to ensure proper signage and staffing when necessary. Reviews schedules regarding construction, events and daily operations on campus to ensure safe and easy access around campus. Prepares special event estimates. Collects and disseminates weekly campus event listing.

I began as a Security Officer for the Columbus campus. In June of 2011 I was promoted to 2nd shift Supervisor/Administrative Supervisor. I coordinate the scheduling and payroll of 25 officers for the department along with the day to day operations of 9 2nd shift officers and 7 part-time officers.

I began as a patrol officer for the city, and was then was promoted to Acting Sergeant of Patrol Operations. I was one of two Motor Vehicle Accident Reconstructionist in the Hardeeville Police Department which handled all major traffic accidents in the City of Hardeeville, which included a 13 mile strech of I-95. I also assisted in the start of the Community Oriented Policing division within the department.

I began my employment as a patrol deputy in Southern Beaufort County. I then transfered to the Hilton Head Island Traffic Enforcement Team. My last assignment was as a Field Training Officer/Patrol Deputy in Southern Beaufort County.
