On August 19th 2016, I completed my pre-service training and was sworn in as a Peace Corps Volunteer. I served in 2 separate sites as a Highschool Mathematics and Physics Instructor. My first site was at Nyofarkollie Senior High located in Zowienta, Bong County. This lasted for four months before I was transferred to the Zwedru Multilateral High School located in Zwedru, Grand Gedeh. My primary assignment was to manage and evaluate grades 10-12 in Mathematics and Physics. This often involved implementing a modified Liberian Curriculum to focus on bring the students up to grade level by reviewing the fundamentals (both numeracy and literacy) inside and outside of class. Secondary Projects:Faculty Supervisor of Women in Science Club at the School.Designed and Implemented two separate Financial Literacy Workshops.Assisted in the Liberian GIS School Mapping with Ministry of Education and Liberian Strategic Analysis.CO-authored/implemented a grant to bring literacy supplies and literacy training in 40 remote schools.Authored and implemented a grant for a 3-day STEM camp held at my school.

Rock and Company Intern – Brighton ColoradoMarch 2014 to August 2015Ouray Colorado on the US 550 Cribwall Installation (Summer 2015)Provided support on the excavation and implementation of two wire mesh retaining walls and soil nail wall. During this time I learned to operate heavy equipment (Skidsteer, Loader/ Forklift, and minor Trackhoe/Backhoe) and to install and maintain erosion control along the cliff face. My primary responsibilities were to run the morning on-site safety meeting, surveying, erosion control, and excavation support.Fall 2014- through Spring 2015 Identify rockfall mitigation work put out by the government or private organizations in the Western United States and assist manager in bid design.Summer (2014)Implemented a rock fall attenuator system north of St. Regis Montana as a scaling intern. Learned about construction management, rope access, rock scaling, and rope access drilling and blasting.
