This is my fourth year at the University of Pittsburgh, studying Business Information Systems, Information Science, and Spanish. I have been learning about computers, on the hardware and software side, since I got my first computer, and have been practicing Spanish for the last seven years. Although I am nowhere near fluent in Spanish, I have enough skills that I can communicate if need be. Currently, I am teaching myself Python through eBooks and video lessons that people have posted in an effort to improve my literacy in software development.To date, my career has focused a lot on customer service. Providing an experience that is memorable, enjoyable, or that is even putting just a little bit more than the average person into my work. I take pride in the work that I do, and will do more than is asked of me, if it means creating a pleasant experience. Whether it’s asking how to spell someone’s name to write on their coffee cup, or making documents and bulletin boards to educate a similar-minded group of individuals on available resources for them to use, I’ve learned that it’s the little things that can make a huge difference in people’s experiences. Technology has always been a huge passion of mine, and I am always seeking to learn more. Over the years, I have developed skills in Adobe software, such as creating graphics in Photoshop, photo editing in Lightroom, and video editing in Premiere. In addition, I had developed many office suite skills, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, (and their Google counterparts) Docs, Sheets, and Gmail. I am currently working to build modern computing skills using Microsoft Visual Studio Code as I develop my Python and Java programming skills.I also have a big interest in UI/UX design, as I have a creative side that I want to explore further. I'm currently taking lessons in Figma through LinkedIn Learning to start learning the basics and delving further into that interest.I am always seeking to make connections for now, and for the future.
