Ryan has been developing high power battery systems, power electronics, and embedded systems for electric vehicles over the last 18 years. He is currently working on exciting projects involving high power charging systems, high voltage battery packs, and grid energy storage systems. Recent work has also included the designing of in-motion high power wireless power transfer systems for vehicles as well as consumer devices. Ryan has a computer engineering degree from Utah State University and a Masters in Business Administration from the John Huntsman School of Business. Ryan enjoys cooking with his wife, 18 year old son and 11 & 6 year old daughters. Favorites are homemade Greek yogurt and from-scratch sourdough bread.
