My journey begins with Morrisons as a core colleague produce assistant. Building big and bold displays to entice customers is where my retail trading background all started. I developed my trade as bakery line manager for over 10 years in which I gained skills in in all aspects of bread production. National diploma in bread manufacturing at Birmingham food college with morrisons apprenticeship programme. Acquiring skills in hand crafted bread production as well as a broad knowledge of machinery including Koenig bun plant, bread plant, stand provers and revent ovens. The training and developing of my team to deliver the highest quality products was the key to our success.I then had the opportunity of a new path as senior market street line manager. This role was to lead the operation of the market street counters, ensuring good availability of our in store produced products. With the open lay out this was creating a theatre to enhance the customer experience, to see my colleagues producing everything in house. Other key tasks are to ensure the day to day running of the store as manager in charge in the absence of the general manager. HR related tasks including recruitment, absence reviews, disciplinary procedures and appraisals. Cost controls and scheduling to set budgets as well as maintaining high standards of food safety and safe & legal compliance. With over 17 years of experience in a customer facing role working as a core colleague up to senior duty manager level, I decided to go in a different direction. I have been given the opportunity of a new position with Kendal Nutricare Ltd as Process Improvement Technician and looking forward to a new and exciting role within the company.
