Earned Bachelors and Masters degrees in Civil Engineering, with emphasis in Structures. My first project as an engineer was a small garage, and then a small house. As I gained experience over the years I was eventually managing a small team of engineers and drafters, and stamping structural drawings for large multi-million dollar apartment projects, before finally starting my own company. My experience also includes commercial pad buildings such as office and retail structures. After nearly 10 years of running my own firm, my passion for automation and optimization led me to join The Vitruvius Project, where I now oversee the engineering development and testing of structural engineering software.Currently licensed as a Professional Engineer in Nevada, California, Colorado, Utah, Idaho, and Oregon.Served as a member of the structural committee for the Southern Nevada Building Official 2006, 2009 and 2012 IBC code amendment/adoption process. I have also enjoyed serving in the community in a variety of ways, such as volunteering at Las Vegas' Sunrise Hospital playing guitar to the children in the pediatric hematology/oncology unit, and more recently as a church youth leader.Ultimate Goals:-Lifelong learning, and financial independence for my family to allow me the time and means to serve in the community and world in whatever way I can contribute.Specialties: Structural calculations, optimization and design.
