Mechanical Engineer at McLaughlin Research Corporation providing engineering support in the defense sector. In my four years at SPU I have furthered my education, understanding of Engineering principles, and knowledge in applicable skills like Solidworks, FEA, and machining. I have worked with SPU Baja as the structural design lead for the chassis, applying my skills to design a complete CAD model including FEA and stress analysis. I then became the director of SPU Baja in 2022 where I managed a diverse team of 20+ engineers and led them through the process of design, manufacturing, and testing. I led a fund raising campaign and raised over $16,000 for our 2022-2023 redesign, managed our expenses and made critical design decisions for our team. I worked with Rice Lake Weighing Systems over the summer and during winter 2022 as their Mechanical Engineering Intern. At RLWS I utilized my skills in SOLIDWORKS 3D modeling and 2D drawings. I managed multiple projects at a time under real industry, time and budget constraints. I also practiced my communication skills in bi-weekly tier board meetings as well as weekly mechanical engineering progress update meetings.
