I am student of software development, who came to appreciate it's nuances after seeing how it complements what I enjoy doing as a person. After spending six years professionally as a commercial estimator, working with large teams to find the cost of all air conditioning and plumbing systems for buildings such as hospitals, high-rises, and stadiums, I have discovered that I enjoy work that is detail oriented and technical in nature. Before my work as an estimator I did retail work for Coca-Cola which required visiting multiple stores per day and communicating with people, and found that I also enjoy building relationships with customers as well. So I am now pursuing a career that would allow me to have the best of both worlds where I can do technical work, while still being able to communicate with people on a daily basis. I had spent a year doing self learning of web fundamentals before joining the Coding Dojo bootcamp to solidify what I previously learned. I am working to apply the skills I have sharpened at my previous jobs such as attention to detail, team coordination, and technical analysis to web development!
