Under the direction of the Field Service Manager, but working largely independently without and/or limited direct supervision, the Site Administrator Technicians provide remedial repair, preventive maintenance, and system reliability services. Potentially administer kiosk collection/service activities with customers located geographically throughout an assigned territory.Responsibilities:• Responsible for overall service of GTL products at assigned customer sites • Prioritizing and planning of assigned service calls • Communicating updates associated with assigned service calls • Escalating problems when appropriate • Interacting in a professional manner with customers to foster positive relationships • Replacing telephony hardware and network components, basic maintenance practices • Pulling cable, mounting network devices, installing telephony hardware • Administer Kiosk service and collections, clearing bill/paper jams, and deposit monies at assigned financial institutions • Basic troubleshooting to include: defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions; assisting Technical Support departments with corrective action on deployed hardware and software; developing working knowledge of all operating standards, practices, and procedures • Handle special projects as assigned by the Field Service Manager • Scheduled and/or unscheduled overtime work and call-outs are to be expected.
Service Technician
Service Technician is experience with business or industrial telephone systems (PABX, KEY, Inmate, etc.) and maintenance of associated internal wiring and sets. Experienced with computer hardware and repair. Service facilities located in the Imperial and Riverside County and the surrounding area. Able to obtain and maintain all security clearances that are required to gain access to the facilities that are assigned to you.- Expertise in wiring infrastructure, sets, and troubleshooting of dial-tone/T1 problems to the demark. - Familiar with installation and maintenance of telephony equipment, cabling and related documentation. - Telephone and computer experience (5 Years). Including but not limited to: pulling cable (Cat3 & Cat5), terminations (110, 66, Krone, RJ11 & RJ45) up to 100 pair cables and troubleshooting wiring / CO dial tone problems. - Excellent ability at multi-tasking, setting priorities and tracking issues concurrently, with minimal supervision. - Experience with outside plant or premise wiring installations - Knowledge of job drawings, sketches, prints and other project documentation - Possess good interpersonal skills and customer service experience - Working knowledge of test equipment (butt set, volt meters).-Some administrative work to include personal time sheets, vouchers, advance requests processed as required- Maintain confidentiality, safety and security standards at all times on assigned projects- Respond to customer requests, questions or concerns in a professional and timely manner
