An S&OP LeaderI commit to be the best. I study new statistical forecasting algorithms, understand how best practice companies forecast, investigate inventory metrics. I cross-train within my discipline whenever possible. I have held roles where I identify supply chain crossover points (push to pull), identify efficient supply chain functions (make to order, finish to order, make to stock), enabled product managers to achieve market share and inventory turns targets, and worked with suppliers to manage phase in/phase out and to ensure they are receiving all the information needed to plan their business. I am certified. I have earned both my APICS CSCP and IBF CPF. But those initial certifications were just the first step. I continue to learn new skills through workshops and on the job from new job roles.I have developed a thick skin. S&OP is based on conflict. There is a constant need to balance over-supply and constraint. Forecasts and statistics all contain error. Every complaint is an opportunity to improve process, content, delivery, or agenda.S&OP is always a continuous improvement project!
