Image Filter Project • Purpose: Filters image within specific resolution and user can decide whether to replace filter image• Used java to implement the project, used MVC as design pattern, and used java swing to implement GUI.Refactoring System• Purpose: Rearrange and break circular dependencies between different classes and packages• Used Apache Ant to handle and break the dependencies between different packages.• Modified XML file to compile and build separate jars for different packages.• Wrote bash script in Linux to run and debug test.• Wrote java applications to check if files are missing after task.• Used git and bitbucket to manage and submit task.• Learned how to use other design patterns to reduce the dependencies Comparing Git Remote Branches• Purpose: Comparing branches to calculate similarities and differences to decide to merge them.• Used comm and git diff to briefly compare similarities and differences between two branches.• Wrote bash script and regular expression to process git diff generated file.• Switched to java to overwrite comm to generate more accurate similarities ratio and generate csv file for all similarity’s ratio of every individual file.• Used ExecutorService and FutureTask to increase the performance by 30%.
