I am a scientist by training with a passion for creating and developing new ideas. I love taking basic concepts or raw materials, and transforming them to solutions that can meet consumers' needs. The challenge of communicating anything highly technical/scientific and making it easily understood has always been something I have enjoyed. This has facilitated my transition to commercial roles rather naturally.My experience includes 15+ years in chemicals spanning technical, commercial, leadership, and entrepreneurial roles where I have always worn multiple hats and embraced dual captain-player responsibilities. I have worked with tens of thousands of people (colleagues, customers, clients), generated hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue, and built business funnels totaling billions of dollars in opportunities. This has led me to become intimate with several market segments including pharma, nutra, food, flavor & fragrance, personal care, cosmetics, industrial. The common threads in my career have been in embracing new technologies, commitment to operational excellence, and being customer-focused. This has enabled me to remain competitive while leading strategically and proactively.My international experiences include conducting business in 70+ countries managing multi-nationals, giving seminars, organizing tradeshows, building relationships, managing partners/distributors, negotiating deals, leading marketing efforts.I have an M.S. in Chemistry from the University of Rochester and earned dual B.A./M.A. degrees with high honors from Brandeis University in 4 years, where I was also a member of the NCAA Division III Men’s Cross Country and Track & Field teams.I aspire to make positive contributions to the world through a challenging & rewarding career.
