I own and operate an upstart guitar lessons business that offers high quality and professional lessons to students of all ages and skills levels. At a rate of $20 for 40mins, my students come to expect from their lessons a comprehensive and thorough Introduction to the Guitar. My goal for every student is the same: to find joy in the learning process and expect no less than to become a guitar player that is both well versed in classical music theory and modern rock techniques.

I do this because it is difficult to purchase a guitar with limited knowledge and a tight budget. I work within peoples budgets, and ensure that their children or themselves, receive a high quality product that they could not have found on their own. I do this to make the community more mindful of the importance of music.

I helped to arrange, rehearse and record original songs and re-produce them in a live setting with the band called 1993.We worked in a collaborative and open-minded environment spanning 8 years and 10 members. I was consulted and relied upon for creative rhythm and solo sections within open genre, radio-friendly Hard Rock/Alternative songs. I filled in as lead singer 2012- as I assisted with writing, producing and recording vocals for the band on the first album. Fulfilled seasonal contract as a commission mobile audio salesperson for Futureshop store D1-255. Attended to the needs of customers and clients in the mobile audio department, which included: ipods and portable audio, car audio, car alarms, GPS, and many service and installation options. Quoted service bay appointments, car audio installations, and gladly presented the Futureshop in-house warranty plan.

Assisted in the administration of a week-long recruitment camp (1 week contract) for 3 years. This included administering to the needs of teaching staff and students, and providing a welcoming and accessible environment within the University for hundreds of guests. Public speaking, organization, on-the-spot thinking and a creative and energetic attitude were required.

Mentored 18 first-year university students for a full academic term. This included: attending all classes and in some cases, lectures, helping with assignments, planning final projects and studying for exams. I was tasked with providing constant email support, and ensuring that I was flexible, and a highly accessible point-of-first contact for the students in regards to the University. I attended and was expected to contribute to weekly meetings, and was a vocal and active member within discussions of things that can be improved, and ways of interacting and providing counseling for the students.
