Reviewed proposed legislation for any drafting or legal concerns and draft any necessary amendments to address these concerns or other policy changes requested by a Representative. Drafted legislation to codify a policy concept presented by a Representative. Prepared and assisted members in presenting bills in committee and on the chamber floor.

Provided legal advice to the Bureau of Compliance, Workers' Compensation Compliance Section. Prosecuted employers for non-compliance with Florida's workers' compensation laws. Represented the Department at formal hearings at the Division of Administrative Hearings and informal hearings.

Handled criminal cases in felony, misdemeanor, and juvenile divisions. Served as primary counsel for clients and carried caseload of up to 150 cases. Lead attorney for numerous jury and bench trials and conducted over 300 depositions of civilian and law enforcement witnesses.
