As project manager, I was responsible for managing all vendor related work for in store marketing executions in Kroger’s nationwide network of stores. I was able to oversee each piece from creative all the way to its implementation in store. During my time at RGI, I was able to create a strong far reaching network of suppliers that enabled me to provide my clients with the highest quality product in the smallest possible amount of time. As an Account Executive at Pep, I was responsible for managing marketing programs for P&G’s Pet Care brands including Iams, Eukanuba and Natura. Each program that I managed entailed, design of the materials, bidding out work to vendors to ensure lowest prices, delivery of materials and all final billing. Through the management of over 50 nationwide executions I was able to ensure that all items were delivered on time and on budget. This role also gave me the opportunity to gain great knowledge in many areas including print, premium items, postage/delivery, sweepstakes and fulfillment. This knowledge proved to be extremely valuable to not only me, but my clients because in less than a year I was able to save over $750,000 on promotions that I executed. Managing the P&G Pet Care brands gave me the opportunity to develop some excellent skills that will be invaluable to me for the remainder of my career such as leadership, communication, managing budgets, and sticking to timelines. As the lead contact for nationwide executions, I led several meetings a week with any vendors and P&G contacts. These meetings taught me how to effectively communicate all budgets and timelines for each program therefore ensuring that all programs went as planned. When programs presented problems, whether there was an issue with production or the client decided to add materials to an initiative, it was up to me to provide solutions and seamlessly resolve them. These experiences gave me an opportunity to lead a team through adversity and ensure that my clients never had to incur additional costs or extensions of their timelines. Other responsibilities that I took on at Pep were acting as a single point of contact for policy for the entire P&G account, serving as the chairperson for Pep’s Morale committee and researched marketing materials for internal and external programs.

During my time at Pepsi, my main responsibility was to replenish the sales floors of major grocery stores such as Kroger, Meijer and Wal-Mart in accordance to each store’s specific planogram. Throughout my time in this position I was able to create some great relationships with many of the store managers which enabled me to expand shelf and display space in several locations. I also coordinated with store management on the design and placement of hundreds of displays that I built in the Dayton area. At Pepsi, I was also able to take on a role as one of the lead trainers of all new hire merchandisers. Finally, I am very proud to be able to say that during my 5+ years at Pepsi Americas I was able to have perfect attendance having never called off or used sick time.

During my senior year of college, I interned at the Dayton Dragons as a Sponsor Services Assistant/Tour Guide. First and for most, I was able to develop excellent public speaking skills while giving tours of the ballpark to our clients before each home game. These tours also gave me the opportunity to develop relationships with many of our sponsors and ensure that they were having a wonderful experience. This position also taught me the value of unsurpassed customer service which an attitude that has been key to many of my successes in other positions. In this position, I was also able to lead mascot appearances in the Dayton area and assist with promotional tie-ins with sponsors.
