As a Project Engineer, I am the product expert on the company’s newest machine line which combines an automatic loading/unloading system with a robotic grinding station to manufacture medical needle points. In addition, I manage many of our higher level machine builds which typically offer fully automated machining & part handling. My role primarily requires the following:Work alongside the sales team to communicate directly with prospective customers to demonstrate how we can accommodate their applicationsPropose, design and implement mechanical, electrical & programming improvements to advance the process and expand machine capabilitiesLook at BOMs and issue internal & external job travelers for machined parts and outside processesOversee the wiring and assembly teams during the machine build processOversee machine installations & provide customer training to operatorsProvide virtual troubleshooting via phone, email and teamviewer to log into customer machines

At RB I am responsible for keeping the production lines running and in good functioning condition. this includes doing preventative maintenance, identifying future issues, troubleshooting existing issues and then resolving those issues. Part of my job is fabricating solutions when replacement parts are not readily available. This is accomplished through welding and machining. Some of these machines include TIG & MIG welding, manual milling machines, and manual lathes. The operation is fully automated and I work as a team along with other mechanics and electrians to solve problems.

EDM works in the contract packaging industry, offering Co-Pack services as well as engineering services. Working in the Machine & Tool division, we built custom machines to automate packaging processes. I was involved in the design of new machines from start to finish.
