I have been working in the field of emergency response since August of 2016 in various positionsfrom Industrial and Municipal Firefighter, Air-hand, Technical Rescuer, as contract support (as EmergencyServices Coordinator) under the previous Emergency Services Advisor, and until August of 2022 I was a Fire Captain running a crew of 4 in an industrial fire department.My time in the industry has allowed me the opportunity to learn and be involved in many aspects ofEmergency Response and safe work practices, including:- Co-instructing NFPA 1006 Confined Space Ops/Tech at Lakeland College- Co-instructing NFPA 1001 Firefighter with Cypress County Emergency Services,- Team leadership as TAR Advisor (night shift supervisor) for Methanex - Medicine Hat’s 2020 Turnaround,including developing all documents for Total Fire Solutions safety workers.- Investigated and developed NFPA 1906 compliance for Cypress County Emergency Services under the previous Fire Chief.- Wrote and co-wrote inspection forms while working at Methanex- I hold active designations for Safety Codes Officer B-1 Inspector, and C-1 Investigator through Safety Codes Council of Alberta and am very comfortable navigating Codes and Standards like OHS, Building/Fire Codes, and NFPA Standards.- Performed PPE Audit on all the equipment at LLK, including research for replacement equipment- Provided the framework for redoing all in-house ISOS inspection forms- Developed a Condensate tank scenario response for CNOOCI have a passion for emergency response and I am very eager to continue developing and using my skills in a leadership position. I have a strong interest in continuing to specialize in technical rescue going forward in my career and will take any opportunity to learn and share my skillset in a professional manner.
