Seeking a role or graduate role within IT to further develop technical knowledge and skills.Below are some examples of the different modules I completed during my time at the University of Portsmouth. - Ethical Hacking: This module taught various ways in which to gain unauthorised access to a system and server through various hacking techniques such as password cracking, SQL injection, brute force attacks, shellcode, etc.- Malware Forensics: Utilised forensic tools and methodologies to create a detailed analysis of files containing malware, including what the malware is, how it works and prevention recommendations. - Complex Problem Solving: Teams worked to analyse a problem presented by the Royal Navy, engaging with a client to understand their needs and provide a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to aid tackle the problem presented.- Programming: Learning coding languages such as Python, Java, C and HTML and authoring/compiling a number of scripts to complete various tasks such as creating a dynamic Java script that acted as a menu for a smart home system.- Virtualisation and Cloud Computing: Designing, testing and securing virtual machines using both CentOS7 and Windows Server 2016, developing documentation for every step taken to create and secure these virtual machines in the form of a standard user guide in order to allow others to complete the same processes and eventually lead to the same results.- Dissertation: The topic of my 10,000 word dissertation was provided by BAE Systems. The topic being ‘What should an Integrated Product Support solution provide to customers?’. Extensive research and data analysis was completed in order to thoroughly detail the many aspects of Integrated Product Support, analyse existing IPS solutions, and create an answer for the topic question. I have been working for BAE Systems for roughly 2 years now; the first of the 2 years I completed a placement year with BAE Systems, to which I gained exposure to a variety of different departments, such as Consultancy, Architecture, Business Analysis and Development. My crowning achievement was working in a team of 4 to create a Risk/Issue Management solution using an internal client's specification.
