Leader of the Engineering Team at the Keyera Fort Saskatchewan (KFS) facility. Member of the Plant Leadership Team ensuring the safe, reliable, and effective operation of the fractionation and cavern storage facility.

Mechanical Engineer for the Liquids Infrastructure of Keyera with the primary role of supporting operations and maintenance at the Fort Saskatchewan fractionation and cavern storage plant site.

• Site technical leader for Maintenance. • Perform day to day support of equipment overhauls, refurbishments, and repairs.• Technical support for equipment pressure testing, quality control, autofrettage, and documentation.• Planning of critical equipment refurbishment or manufacturing.• Work in close liaison with offsite equipment repair or service facilities. • Safety committee member representing Maintenance department. Promote a zero incident, interdependent safety culture. Perform safety audits regularly. • Design and refurbish custom valves and pipe joints through ASME, API, ICI code standards along with ABSA registration requirements.• Site leader for mechanical integrity of high pressure reactor vessels and separator vessels.• Effectively work as a team with the inspection group on vessel and pipe work tracking. Including corrosion monitoring, non-destructive testing (NDT), hardness testing, and failure mechanism. • Care plan development for reactor vessels. Including ceramic bearings, shaft balancing, housing assemblies, vibration analysis, coating for corrosion protection, and life span reliability.• Assist with site wide root cause analysis (RCA), reliability centered maintenance (RCM), preventative maintenance (PM), and management of change (MOC) programs. • Involved with site capital projects and promoting new capital spending for maintenance and reliability departments through maintenance of business, process safety management, revenue generation, and production increase.• Provided training presentations for Millwrights, Machinists, and Technicians on high pressure engineering fundamentals and mechanical integrity.• Extensive knowledge of SAP - Function locations, bill of materials, work orders, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and equipment lists.• Work with the following computer programs: SAP, ProjectWise, Fluidlife, AMS Machinery, MathCad, Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

• Assisted with production engineering issues from day to day troubleshooting and safety meetings to monthly data collecting and reporting.• Reviewed design calculations and specifications (ABSA/ASME) with the senior mechanical engineer for new vessel lids installed on the site’s high pressure separators.• Shadowed millwrights and maintenance workers during major plant shutdowns and helped identify sections of assembly drawings and tolerances for the site’s Burckhardt and Nuovo Pignone hyper-compressors.• Edited and reviewed critical operating manuals for two of three production processes on site and walked through the manuals steps with power engineers.• Troubleshoot frame oil issues of one of the site's hyper-compressors by taking field measurements, analyzing data, and generating the results in graphs.• Observed 3-5 reactor start-ups from the operations control room and monitored critical valves alongside senior operators.
