To Always follow GMP and relevant standard operating procedures.To Ensure that all plant and machinery is repaired promptly.To ensure that all machine change overs are carried out correctly and promptly.To advise of the most productive use of machinery.To assist in the investigation of complaints, both internally and externally and help in the prevention of re-occurrences.To complete all the documentation as required by GMP, including filling in machine logs and maintaining a file of machine repairs and modifications.To assist in the preparation of quotations by providing relevant information and guidance.To attend and input into the daily scheduling meetings.A member of the central Pharma Ops team, participating in strategic direction of central Pharma.To assist with training and the preparation of training programs when required.Ensuring that planned preventative maintenance system is implemented and followed.Ensuring that the stock of authorised spares is maintained and advising on spares that are required.Manage product standards within engineering.The monitoring control of all engineering sub-contractors.To manage the team through performance reviews, personal development plans, and goals and objectives.Manage engineering absence by the completion of return to work interviews.Support the management team with disciplinary and investigation meetings as and when required.Ensure the efficient control of staff, ensuring that there is always engineering cover to repair machines and carry out product changes where necessary.Identify and coordinate continuous improvement activities and present to the operations director for consideration.Support the operations director with the engineering presentation overview for the management meeting, highlighting successes, challenges and improvements going forward.Manage and support the engineering team, ensuring they complete all validation timelines (FAT,SAT)

Key responsibilities:• To provide Technical support to the Production Department, Maximizing Production Equipment up time.• Maintain, Repair and Set Production Equipment on a Daily basis.• Working to and Maintaining GMP standards and to assist in the identification ,delivery and audit of training needs within the Engineering Team, also Operators on Engineering aspects of production equipment and associated systems.

Ensure the planned preventative maintenance system is followed.Maintain stock of authorised spares and order spares that are required.Manage the engineering teams availability through holiday control and absence, ensuring all administrative work is carried out on time.
