Technical lead on shift, with resposibilities for Electrical / Electronic / Controls / Mechanical and Pneumatic fault finding. Main shift liaison with operations and dayshift engineering, as well as outside contractors. Duties Include:- Equipment Upgrades and modifications in line with Change Management/validation policies- Co-ordination of holidays and overtime issues as required. - Creation of and maintaining a structured shift handover report and ensuring satisfactory communications across shift/dayshift. - Use of escalation procedures as and when required.- Setting up and completing Continuous Improvement projects, as well as validation and installation projects. - Challenged to create cost saving plans and implement as required. - Involved in factory acceptance testing as well as on-site IOQ and PQ testing.- Accountable for 100% completion (and audit) of activities and paperwork in line with cGMP to ensure compliance with FDA guidelines.- Training activities to bring colleagues up to SME standard.Completed 6 week secondment to sister site in Puerto Rico for knowledge share exercise, to allow Inverness to be production ready for arrival of new equipment.Completed many work/people based courses in relation to supervisory position. Responsible for H&S Audits and Risk Assessments.Competent in various systems such as Rockwell Software, Siemens S7, ELAU, SCADA, Cognex, Systech, Linx Laser/Linxdraw software, AutoCAD, SolidWorks.Working towards CEng status and IET membership.
