As a Trade Counter person at Howdens, I deal with local tradesmen and end clients, arranging stock, handling inquiries, and banking monies. I use the K8 system to manage orders and inventory, and I apply my problem solving and communication skills to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. I joined Howdens in November 2021, attracted by their financial and career opportunities, and their impressive sales portfolio.Before Howdens, I worked at Screwfix for six years, starting as a sales person and progressing to a supervisor. I was part of the Trade up to assistant manager program, where I learned and demonstrated leadership, employee training, and stock taking skills. I also have four years of experience as fast past bar staff at Paps Nightclub, where I handled cash counting, banking, ,being stock taker and teaching new employees the role. In addition, I have an HNC in Industrial and Product Design from City of Glasgow College, which reflects my interest and aptitude in design and creativity. I am looking to continue advancing in my retail career, utilizing my design education and skills, and contributing to the success of my current or future employer.
