Worked during concerts, lectures, and multicultural events doing sound production. During this time I learned how to effectively interview, hire, and train people in my department, adapt to different work situations, and clearly communicate with entertainers of all different backgrounds. When my involvement began with Union Productions, I had little to no technical experience with running sound equipment or managing people. After being trained for a little over a semester, I was running events on my own as well as annually hiring and training groups of eight volunteers. This put my newly learned technical capabilities to the test and proved that I could learn a new skill quickly and be able to teach and lead others toward a successful future in the company.
