As a former plaintiff's lawyer, having settled a couple hundred cases, I have been in a plaintiffs lawyer's shoes. As a settlement recipient who received a large settlement, structured much of it, and had the IRS/California unsuccessfully come after me for millions in taxes, I have been in the plaintiff's shoes. This is why I have made this my life's work.
