I'm currently in operation supervisor, but I would love a travel job, maybe going to train employees on new systems, are just getting things back in order for one of your accounts. I can travel up to 100% of the time (provided that the company I work for covers flights, hotel, and car rental) because let's face it, I'm not coming out of my own pocket to work for anybody. 💯

Dispatcher / Trainer

As an Operations supervisor and Dispatcher, I have a powerful attention to detail. With hundreds of shipments moving through our department weekly, my strong computer and communication skills help me keep operations running smoothly, Being personable helps me relate to our Drivers, customers, vendors and staff. I manage daily personnel functions including load planning and brokering. I typically deal with the financial side of logistics more than the packing and shipping side. For example, I analyze the cost effectiveness of using one transportation company over another and go with the most cost effective way of shipping. I also type up delivery receipts, monitor the emails, man the switchboard and 2 way radios, manage the warehouse staff and drivers. I process all completed paperwork turned in by the drivers as well as monitor the carriers transporting our LTL or full T/L Freight.

I currently work in operations as a Dispatcher, working as a logistics agent for STI and CRST. I monitor several email accounts and groups/folders, and provide outstanding customer Service via Email, Phone or in person to other office staff, drivers and customers. I have the main switchboard at my station, so I also monitor all communications within the facility and route calls accordingly. I use overhead paging systems and radios to keep in communication with other supervisors and warehouse staff. I work closely with other 3rd party logistics teams and create Bill Of ladings for service, as well as process bill of ladings after pickups and deliveries are made to ensure hauler payment in a timely matter. I use several web portals to update pickups or deliveries based on customer needs. In addition, I assist in Revenue Processing as well as driver management. I use several systems to complete my daily tasks as well as schedule services, and I route / dispatch orders based on the area of the city we are in during the day.

As a temporary assignment through the agency, I helped monitor, manage and route incoming and outgoing communications. Systems used were Ring Central with Polycom IP550 switchboard with PC based PBX and fax, Microsoft Outlook for Emails, contacts, scheduling and calendars. I am TSA certified because of the many types of freight this local LTL cartage company transports. I would process alerts (new pick up and delivery jobs) as well as assign and dispatch jobs to the drivers via Citrix web based Crown Data Systems software, I’d also monitor driver whereabouts through Crown Mapping systems. In addition to customer relations, I would dispatch drivers to assignments while communicating with the drivers on a regular basis to maintain time sensitive shipments and assistance to the drivers. I would work closely with other forwarders via phone, fax and email to ensure that their shipments made it to their designated destinations as specified, as well as making sure that special instructions for these shipments were acknowledged and adhered to by the warehouse staff and drivers.

I'm Learning to Manage Drivers and Dedicated Accounts to be a successful Account Manager. I am new to this position, but love it. It keeps me busy and on my toes!

I scheduled Staff Caregivers, Nurses, Medical Assistants and C.N.A.'s to work with Clients and patients at home or in facilities. I also updated client records and Care Plans and worked closley with the clients families, Social Workers, and other case managers on the patients care team. Among other assignments, I scheduled client assessments with Assessment managers, Care Managers and owners. I Supervised and managed schedules for more than 150 caregivers on staff on an ongoing basis. I was also occasionally Comfort Keepers On Call Supervisor for after hours emergencies involving both clients and caregivers. Being a Registered Medical Assistant, I sometimes worked with clients that required total care and cueing (usually alzheimers and dementia patients, or patients that are unable to move on their own, so I connected clients to (and operated) hoyer lift machines as well as sit-to-stand, because some clients are phiscially incapable to care for themselves or move, and required transfer assistance).

During my employment, I was responsible for dispatching shuttle van drivers to various locations - to pick up and deliver direct flight staff and customers from their homes and hotels to and from several airports in Wisconsin and Illonis. Hours of operation were 24/7, 365 days a year. I have worked all 3 shifts during my employment and also acted as the 3rd shift Operations Manager, overseeing the overall flow of the company. I was certified by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation as a Supervisor. I made sure drivers were dispatched to jobs in accordance to their start and end times to cooperate with the "No overtime" policies. I also made sure that drivers were clear and fit to safely transport passengers by watching for signs of sleep deprivation and alcohol /substance abuse by all staff on shift. I was diligent in preforming multiple tasks at once... including but not limited to over-the-air radio communication on multiple channels (anywhere between 25-100 drivers at a time) while dispatching and manning the switchboards, maintaining constant communication between drivers, supervisors and customers, navigating through several software applications and managing the overall operation of the company.

Answered over-flow Emergency calls for service and dispatched proper units (volunteer fire and rescue crews) via over-the-air dispatching and computer software technology including alpha numeric and voice paging.
