At Epco I build and install new equipment. I lead and oversee a small team on various projects depending upon each plant’s requests. I install and align new pumps and gearboxes for new construction, as well as maintain the existing equipment. I also pipe fit for new construction. I work turnarounds in the DFW area at various chemical plants.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

At OxyChem I worked as a Millwright. I did preventative maintenance and repairs to all rotating equipment. On this site I worked on screw conveyers, belt conveyers, bucket elevators, and hammer mills. I also rebuilt pumps and mechanical seals on the centrifugal pumps. I changed out motors and aligned shafts for the motors to pumps and gearboxes., as well as welded baseplates and new guards for rotating equipment. Additionally, I changed out bearings of all sorts. I sat on the safety counsel and made recommendations to ensure a safe and secure working environment that was in compliance with OSHA/organization safety regulations.

Point Comfort, Tx

I worked as a millwright at Formosa. I did preventative maintenance on all rotating equipment, including pumps, gearboxes, blowers, roto feeders, compressors, conveyer belts, and crusher systems. Replaced mechanical seals a long with all other seal types. Preformed alignments on all styles of couplings using both laser and dial indicators. Set motor and gear boxes along with their baseplates. Rebuilt pumps of all types including boiler feed water pumps, diaphragm dosing pumps, and gould pumps. Also rebuilt gearboxes of all gear ratios. Assisted on minor overhauls on our steam turbines which included alignments, rolling all bearings out for inspection, and changed out the thrust pads.

With Infinity I worked as a Millwright at Formosa till I earned a company position. I did preventative maintenance on all rotating equipment, including pumps, gearboxes, blowers, rotofeeders, compressors, conveyer belts, and crusher systems. Victoria, Texas Area

I started out as a welders helper. While doing that trade I used grinders, torches, band saws, tape measure, and pulled leads. I moved up to a fitter, which I used the same tools listed above plus pipe wrap around, levels, squares, and punches. I learned to read drawling so I could cut and fit pipe to specs. I then went to work for the millwrights with Tepsco setting base plates and rough alignments.
