I am a biochemist with a strong background in general biology and evolutionary biology. Most of my working career has been within academic research (working on several different topics such as antimicrobial resistance, honeybee health and immunity, and microalgae cellular biology), but I also have experience of working with the private industry. My main strenght is the ability of working in cross-disciplinary projects that spans from proteomics to molecular biology and evolutionary biology, either taking a lead role or being part of a team. I have worked in teams as big as 30+ researchers and as small as 2, and I find myself at ease in both types of job environments. My technical skills span from classical biochemistry to molecular biology, from proteomics to flow cytometry and fluorescence microscopy. Currently I mainly use GC- based chromatography to identify and quantitate volatile organic compounds in samples.
