I am Ryan Duron Tran. Native to California, I grew up in San Jose and spent my undergraduate and a few post-grad years in Los Angeles. With sociology as my foundation, I am genuinely interested in human interaction, neuroscience, philosophy, mindfulness and spirituality, the concept of a good life, innovative and evidence based ideas and policies, equity, empathy, and the role of government. I am passionate about working in service of others, particularly the youth and working class people, and empowering future generations to define success on their own terms and lead a life well-lived. In my free time I am devoted to thinking deeply about the world around me and making an earnest effort to shape a better future for our shared humanity.
