I went into programming on a whim.Knowledge of Programming Languages: SQL, PowerBuilder, PowerScript, C#, Java, XML, Javascript, PowerShell, Python, PHP, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, MySQL, HTML5, JSON and CSSDuring high school, I was always interested in the small programming course that my school offered, but it was too easy and just a course students signed up for for an easy mark. At the time, my dream was to become a game developer or have something to do with video game development.After high school, I wasn't really sure what to do since I knew that I didn't want to go to university since I learn a lot better from hands-on work. My parents recommended that I look into courses at a trade school.After a bit of thought, I registered for Web Development at the Louis Riel Arts and Tech Center, and while there, I sort of fell for coding. It became a new way for me to express my creativity and create new things.While there, I worked with a group to create a website for a client, Custom Horizontal. We had to first talk to them about what they wanted or needed; we found them hosting and domain names; we created a favicon; and we even had to create a vector of their logo since they only had low-quality JPGs to work with.
