Helped launch several business before focusing on non-operated and mineral assets across roughly a dozen U.S. onshore plays (deployed approximately $800 million across SCOOP, STACK, Western OK/TX Panhandle, Northern OK Woodford, Miss Lime, Eagleford, Haynesville, Arkoma, Delaware, Midland, Williston, DJ, and Appalachian Basins).Built and led engineering team primarily responsible for acquisition evaluations, developing regional predictive models, managing reserve portfolio (roughly 10,000 individual engineered reserve cases constructed from scratch), among various other general engineering responsibilities (elections, hedging, midstream, lookback and reporting initiatives).

Day-to-day: Primary role involves orchestrating a balance of reservoir knowledge with business logic to guide multi-disciplinary team in developing and executing strategy. Reservoir Support: Provide technical expertise in asset management through high-grading and optimization techniques utilizing fundamental reservoir and well performance analysis. Maintain reserve database via probabilistic and deterministic forecasting methods examined by 3rd party auditors. Generate reserve and production profiles for scenario evaluations (budget, risking, bidding, etc.) and sensitivity analysis (capital, costs, NRI, etc). Identify behind-pipe potential in base production. Present and coordinate non-operated proposals. Business Support: Generate development scenarios to facilitate decision analysis. Responsible for final engineering and economic evaluation (both in AFE preparation and actual team recommendation). Ensure proposals are comprised of a balanced portfolio of new ideas along with demonstrated avenues of success. Coordinate budget planning and final presentation to managers along with ongoing variance reporting. Prepare strategic and tactical lookbacks to ensure alignment with corporate goals and management philosophy. Track competitor activity and coordinate SWD strategy.Project Support: Design comprehensive play development strategies in preparation of rig activity and budget variances. Responsible for capturing multi-faceted input to propose best plan to address uncertainty (performance, infrastructure, disposal, competition, geopolitical, etc.) and identify opportunities to implement “best in practice” techniques as well as test innovative ideas to gain competitive advantages.

Responsible for capturing and reporting volume data to ensure E&P and M&M performance allignment. Provided volume reconciliation for budget purposes and cost of service forecasting. Also, served as reservoir engineering liason between E&P and M&M for business decision colloboration (gas contracts, 3rd party assurance, pipeline guarantees, and many other). Assisted in understanding and developing U.S. natural gas supply model for situational analysis by providing reservoir fundamental based recommendations and region type curve generation. Evaluated M&M projects for value gains (optimal plant allocation, gas by-pass projects to enrich plant gas, etc.)

Field Rotation: Supervised and reported daily drilling operations and costs on Wolfcamp wells in Permian Basin (TX). Obtained well control certification (Murchison) as well as other training opportunities (Schlumberger Drilling Performance Academy, Pathfinder Directional Drilling Seminar, etc.)Office Rotation: Design drilling programs for Wolfcamp (PB TX) wells and monitor implementation by rig crew. Collaborated with service companies to optimize well path design, bit selection, drilling fluid selection, cement design, etc. Reported key performance metrics to ensure optimized drilling paracitces in a safe environemnt. Performed in-depth evaluaiton of cementing practices and provided recommendations to reduce excess cement at surface.

Provided general reseroivr support related to drilling activities in Northern Rockies including quantifying prospect opportunities via probabalistic reserve estimation methods. Generated theoretical field devleopment for test well in order to justify economics. Assisted Operations in identifying high cost/low production properties to improve capital allocation efficiency, Also evaulated the probabalistic forecasting methods to reconcile with actuals in order to catalog drilling opportunites for long range development.

Field Rotation: Supervised various completions/workover & stimulaiton activities, assisted lease operators in day to day well maintenece and artificial lift implementation, and managed a turnkey plugging operation of stripper wells. Office Rotation: Responsible for monitoring and maintaining conventional production in FWB, recommended artifical lift opportunities, conducted a completions design optimization review, and evaluated disposal well performance/characteristics.

Assisted Operations team on day-to-day field operation of Austin Chalk wells in East Texas. Evaluated field compression system and made recommendations to optimize field wide gas lift economics. Identified various opportunities for artificial lift candidates and designed the implementation.

Utilized field specific forecasting tool to identify analagous regions of the Belridge Oil Field in the San Juan Basin. Applied rigourous statistical analysis to develop forecast "formulas" for each region and ultimately forecast the reserves for the field given certain certain development criteria (well spacing, pumping unit optimization, etc.).
