As the Senior Manager of Converged Technology at BT, I am responsible foroverseeing the SVA Cloud Platform and Design Team. Head of design and tech specialist for our One Cloud Voice portfolio. This currently includes Cisco HCS and Cloud Contact Genesys. These solutions are built all around the world in UK, EU, North America, Asia and India as it stands. My team and I are responsible for the design, build and maintenance of the global data centres and technologies used to run these products. This stretches from application layer, to compute, to virtualisation, using Cisco Hyperflex and VMware, to the use of next generation application centric networking using Cisco ACI, and Security using Cisco Firepower firewalls. My team have a wide range of skills used to implement the next generation of BTs host voice services.

I am responsible for a team that specialises in various elements including data centre technologies, security systems, UCS, firewalls, virtual DCs, OSS, load balancers & SAN storage. My role also includes the evolution of our platform to next gen solutions including Cisco Hyperflex Hyperconverged architecture and ACI networking.

This role comprises of the support & evolution of BT's hosted VoIP platforms within the UK, US & APAC. Specialising in Cisco HCS, Cisco HUCS and SIP trunking services. This complex platform hosts 4 of the 5 major UK banking corporations, along with other large public organisations such as Royal Mail Group and the NHS . Currently the platform supports around 200,000 telephony end points. It has also previously supported the IP Telephony service during the London 2012 Olympic Games and the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
