Responsibilities include assisting with the development of the organizational quality work plan, ensuring staff are informed of new quality initiatives, assisting the leadership team with improving patient care and delivery of services, responsible for preparing, implementing, and updating quality and compliance policies, responsible for auditing practices to ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations, auditing the electronic medical record to maintain compliance, assisting with preparation for state and federal audits, working with the leadership team to ensure timely resolution of patient grievances, assisting with data reporting for organizational improvement, and communicating with staff and patients to ensure quality improvement

Responsibilities include: assists with the launch of new programs; communicates withthe public; assists with ordering and maintaining inventory control to ensure freshness,product quality, and turnover; checks and verifies receivables; stocks to ensure qualityprotection, accuracy and product rotation; handles spoiled/damaged products perestablished guidelines; trains others to perform all department activities and functions; manages the selection, scheduling, and supervision of others to meet or exceed departmental productivity levels as delegated by the department manager.

Learned the workings of the volunteer services department by fulfilling a number of varied roles. I refined skills for engaging with the public by leading volunteer groups, developing signage for public parks, and managing volunteer hours. On the natural resources side of this position I refined skills by drafting land management plans, performing site surveys, and controlling invasive species. In addition, I learned about the considerations that need to be taken when balancing public, private, and governmental interests for public resources.
