Managed the technical execution of two large scale musical productions over a team of technicians and inters. Oversaw the scene shop day-to-day functions including schedules, vehicle rentals, and materials procurement. While at University I worked in the Theatre Department’s Scene Shop primarily as a carpenter, assisting in the build process of several University productions by reading shop drawings, and by demonstrating a safe working knowledge of various construction methods including timber framing, steel fabrication, and modeling with foams and fabrics. I served as a load in and load out carpenter/laborer for several professional touring musicals, and concerts, where I would assist a team in the assembly and disassembly of all physical stage elements of the productions. I would also regularly serve as a trained flyman, operating the fly rail to raise and lower scenery and lighting elements on cue during both professional, and educational musical performances and concerts.
