I am excited to contribute to the dynamic field of biotechnology, especially in drug discovery and application. I am now undertaking a Master of Biomedical Technology at the University of Calgary to improve my scientific expertise and develop interpersonal and leadership skills necessary for the sector.While completing a Bachelor of Science (with Distinction) at the University of Calgary, my education was enriched by roles in fast-paced labs wherein I contributed to exciting research projects and honed my analytic and communication skills. Among these projects, I worked on the novel application of existing pharmaceuticals to Alzheimer’s disease. This led to awards and a presentation at the Prion 2023 conference for protein aggregation disorders in Faro, Portugal. My time in these labs deepened my technical and investigative acuities.Beyond academics, I am committed to serving my community and assisting neighbours. My interests extend to history and space – I participate in historical recreation projects and enjoy both taking in the sights of the cosmos and sharing them with others.
