Member of NPI team supporting development of novel medical devices. Responsible for improving yield, deployment of new capital equipment, creating and approving ECOs, and authoring new assembly instructions. Leverage internal resources to unblock rapid iteration of product design and assembly process. Balance priorities while investing in implemention of good manufacturing practices.

I developed and refined assembly process as part of new customer development with the goal of increasing yield and throughput. I facilitated the transfer of new products to Jabil factories worldwide for mass production. I interacted directly with customer engineers to identify risks through failure mode and effects analysis and I leveraged a network of equipment vendors to improve process capabilities and process controls. As part of design for manufacturing, I conducted experiments and provide customers with data supported feedback to drive product revisions.

IMAGE OVERLAY PROJECT· Prototyped a four degree of freedom positioning frame to expand the capabilities of the Image Overlay projection monitor in performing MRI guided needle insertions.· Designed, constructed, and tested a manually driven system utilizing MRI compatible materials.· Authored CAD models and worked with machinists to fabricate custom parts used in conjunction with 80/20 aluminum framing.SMALL ANIMAL RADIATION RESEARCH PLATFORM· Constructed prototype of five degree of freedom robotic system used for performing radiation research on small rodents with a positioning accuracy of 0.25 mm.· Utilized custom machined parts and Bosch Rexroth aluminum framing.· Operated laser cutter and FDM rapid prototype apparatuses to build parts for the prototype.· Authored CAD models and technical drawings as part of a research agreement with Gulmay Medical.

RECHARGEABLE INTEGRATED POWER SYSTEM· Member of four student team that prototyped an autonomous recharging mechanism for unmanned underwater vehicles, with a budget of $12,000.· Co-authored CAD models of the docking mechanism using ProEngineer.· Created rapid prototype models of the design using FDM.· Managed testing of the design, including a full recharging wet test in the JHU High-Bay Laboratory and a depth test using finite element analysis.

· Instructed week long orientation trip for incoming freshmen in West Virginia and Pennsylvania.· Served on the Pre-Orientation Leadership Team, responsible for planning, marketing, and running the program.· Led outdoor day trips for college students in Canoeing and Backpacking.· Developed database to manage trip information and personal records, 170 hours of Java programming from April 2006 to September 2006.· Completed ten-day Hopkins Outdoor Leadership Training course in May 2006 and received lead instructor certification.· Served as a trainer on the Hopkins Outdoor Leadership Training course in May 2007.· Completed Wilderness First Responder medical training in January 2007.

· Worked on three separate implementation teams to construct ram pump irrigation systems in rural Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa to enable communal gardens to operate more efficiently.· Designed the system, purchased materials, organized team logistics, and trained the locals in use and maintenance of the ram pump.· Located viable project sites in cooperation with the Ndwedwe district of the Kwa-Zulu Natal department of Agriculture.· Designed and constructed test apparatus to study and improve the efficiency of the ram pump design from January 2008 to June 2008 with materials and laboratory space provided by Baysaver Technologies Inc.
