I led data scientists on the Audiences product. We built ad targeting algorithms to enable merchants to have better return on ad spend for their digital campaigns. Key outcomes of this role were: * Developed an on call rotation for deployed machine learning capabilities. Instituted norms for on call across my area adopted by other teams.* Developed and executed a research roadmap that led to a significant and consistent increase in performance of ad targeting.

I led and grew teams of data scientists and engineers totaling 15 reports. We built the core data processing platform and the energy insight models that ran on that platform.Key outcomes of this role were:* Identified directions for improvement to existing machine learning driven models, leading to modeled predictions becoming the industry's best source of building activity and size information.* Chose a new Spark and notebook vendor for the company. This was the single biggest compute spend line item at the 700 person company. Led team to migrate all existing pipelines and notebooks to the new vendor with minimal downtime for production systems. This increased system stability and helped meet cloud spend targets.* Chose new architecture for execution of models that enabled use of legacy intellectual property leading to reuse of decades of R&D in the new company's environment.

* Led a team of data scientists and engineers responsible for building the core AI algorithms powering an automated energy analysis SaaS platform.* Established processes for tracking model performance over time, leading to accuracy improvements across four key features. The process drove conversations with customers about how to improve their product experience.* Introduced Python enabling the subject matter experts to participate in development of key recommendation model and leading to increased adoption of unit testing.

Led integration of algorithms into the core software platform through implementation of software best practices and working closely with the software team. I also developed new analytics capabilities and tools to help data scientists efficiently access and analyze production data.
