Worked on testing and developing algorithms to optimize bidding within the Search Engine Marketing team of the Demand Generation group. Focused on predicting profits for keywords corresponding to advertisements on Google, specifically in the case of sparse data. Used machine learning and unsupervised data mining techniques to develop predictions for keyword profits which resulted in an increase in ROI during testing. Finished internship with a developed roadmap to scalability and implementation across all accounts.

Search Engine Marketing Analyst Intern. Focus on managing a portfolio of keywords associated with advertisements on both Google and MSN search engines. Optimizing bids for thousands of keywords in order to maximize SEM profits. Used basic statistics and economics concepts with testing of different methods.

Living and working in Breckenridge Ski Resort during the winter season with other motivated recent college graduates. Also, participating in a learning experience with seminars consisting of topics including, but not limited to: the Vail Resorts' business model, the competitive landscape and how Vail Resorts stays on top of their market, and conversations with Keystone's CEO and CFO.

Employed by my university about 15 hours a week to lead hour-long sessions, with attendance levels ranging from 15 to 40 UCSB students. These classes are typically taught by graduate students and individuals with master's degrees. Received outstanding student reviews during performance evaluations and once received a standing ovation from students after a final review session.

Learning to process large amounts of seismic data using Unix and writing small program scripts in Perl and Vi. Was able to learn new coding languages during the period of employment and make use of them.

Learning about the entire securities and wealth management business while participating in an internship program under two brokers. The internship consisted of calling potential clients, analyzing possible investments, and discussing current market condition with existing clients.
