My name is Ryan and I am the creator and host of The BJJ Fanatics Podcast, the #1 ranked Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu/Grappling podcast on Apple Podcasts. In 2015 I launched my show, at the time titled The Grappling Central Podcast, and for 6 years grew it to be the most recognized podcast in the industry. In 2021, I partnered with industry giant BJJ Fanatics to run the show under their banner and also direct podcasts for their other channels as well, like Fanatic Wrestling, Judo Fanatics and Dynamic Striking. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is my life's passion, I have been practicing for fifteen years and have had the privilege to learn from several high level black belts both in the U.S. and in Brazil. I earned my brown belt from Professor Paul Creighton, and despite being sidelined due to the pandemic and balancing two kids, I’m currently closing in on earning my black belt. When I am not working on the podcast, I train avidly in São Paulo, Brazil where I live with my amazing wife and two kids. I train under UFC legend Demian Maia at his school. I also enjoy the outdoors, long boarding, music and playing with my son and daughter.
