Skyline High was my home for roughly a decade, including my student teaching. My experiences at this institution brought me to a crossroads in my career, leading me to continue seeking work that allows me to to grow intellectually and emotionally (but in another manner and with different clientele), enriching the lives of those I come into contact.--Developed and implemented policies and programs, English curriculum and assessment, and technological initiatives at Skyline; instructed Advanced Placement literature; and acquired the skill of grant writing to support initiatives --Creation of LULAC (League of United Latin American Citizens): a student-led council developed for the empowerment of students and the community --Public speaking: my leadership role in the community required development of this skill (for graduation, political movements, and as a sponsor)
