Additive Manufacturing Lead Engineer
CurrentIn this position, I provide subject matter expertise to help engineering teams and material scientists minimize lead times by developing and leading initiatives that result in increased use of additive manufacturing through greater communication and sharing of best practices. I contribute to design efficiency and resource conservation through the use of additive design techniques such as topology optimization and generative design principles customized for additive manufacturing design. I streamline project execution by planning, coordinating, and supervising technical initiatives and phases of projects that require the design and development of novel products and processes. Additionally, I look for unique materials and manufacturing techniques that might be used to enhance programs. I manage the department's budget for initiatives related to advanced materials and manufacturing modernization, as well as maintain and update roadmaps for advanced materials and manufacturing modernization, in collaboration with key stakeholders.Key Achievements: • Improved profit margins by assessing alternatives with keen awareness of industry trends, major companies, and activities of leading consortiums, universities, and international laboratories.• Minimized design shortcomings and streamlined processes by functioning as Technical Lead on additive product development projects.• Ensured data and personnel security by providing reach-back support to Army field units.
