With over a decade of experience in computer engineering, my core competencies lie in cloud architecture, infrastructure, and backend systems. My goal has always been to bring diverse perspectives and robust engineering practices to the forefront of technology development.During my recent tenure at Realio, I successfully developed and implemented an alerting system that significantly improved our mean time to response. I established a robust incident response protocol and engineered an on-call rotation to bolster our system reliability. Additionally, by maintaining Kubernetes clusters and designing CI/CD pipelines, I streamlined our development process, embodying my commitment to excellence and efficiency in software engineering.

Principal Software EngineerRealio Apr 2023 - Feb 2024New York, Ny, Us- Developed and implemented an alerting system to enhance mean time to response.- Established an incident response protocol and set up an engineering on-call rotation.- Maintained and optimized Kubernetes clusters to ensure high availability and performance.- Designed and executed CI/CD pipelines to streamline and automate the development process. -
Engineer In ResidenceThe Melon Oct 2022 - Apr 2023The Melon is a venture studio focused on building and launching web3 companies. As an engineer in residence, I provided backend software and cloud architectural support for portfolio companies.- Architected and implemented backend apis for a mobile p2p data sharing service using GCP- Led the integration of those apis with the companies overseas mobile dev team- Architected and Implemented a data warehouse and ETL pipeline to support the product teams analyitcs needs -
Principal Software Engineer @ OsfOsf Management Aug 2021 - May 2022OSF Management is a crypto hedge fund in the Bahamas. As a principal software engineer at OSF, my primary responsibility was the design and implementation of an OTC trading API and its subsequent integration with our partner brokerage. -
Principal Software EngineerTruemotion Jan 2020 - Aug 2021Boston, Ma, UsI built out and managed the companies Incident Response Team and process. This not only streamlined support request escalations from the customer support team too engineering, it also established on call developers to assist the SRE team in the event of unplanned downtime events. Additionally, we assigned new engineers to the rotation as a way to expose them to services outside the scope of their individual engineering team.In addition, I was part of the Architecture Team (a team of 2 who reported to the chief architect). We were responsible for long term planning and (depending on project) implementation of TMO engineering technical roadmap. This was carried out through an architectural review process that required any major architectural change to the backend be presented in a town hall style discussion involving engineers across the organization. -
Team Lead - Site Reliability EngineeringTruemotion Dec 2017 - Jan 2020Boston, Ma, UsResponsibilities- Ensuring our security posture is compliant with our customers' requirements- Managing our AWS spending through automation and architectural changes- Working with the backend and data science teams to develop architectures that are reliable, cost effective, and scalable- Developing standards and tooling to ensure we are able to monitor our backend- Managing our on-call rotation, training the on-call engineers, and maintaining run books and tooling. -
Backend Software EngineerTruemotion Jul 2014 - Dec 2017Boston, Ma, UsAs one of the first Engineering hires, I was responsible for implementing many of the core functions of our telematics platform. In addition, I was responsible implementing and managing our production infrastructure, automated provisioning, and deployment pipelines. -
Director Of Software EngineeringEtiometry Inc. Nov 2012 - Apr 2014Boston, Ma, Us- Established AGILE management practices and developed procedures to ensure quality and compliance with FDA Agile development standards (TIR 45)- Architected and oversaw the development and deployment of a retrospective analytics platform for exporting and manipulating high frequency ICU data- Worked with customer to ensure backlog priorities matched customer needs and expectations.- Integrated the company’s clinical rounding platform (T3) into the companies AGILE quality control system in preparation for 510k clearances.- I developed a suite of in house tools to automate the process of de-identifying patient data from multiple sources and importing it into a central database.- I designed and installed a computational computer cluster and additional server infrastructure. I then virtualized the company's existing bare metal server infrastructure, and upgraded the internal network hardware to improve performance, streamline backups and increase resource utilization. This allowed the company to move all of its research computing needs off amazon elastic cloud, saving thousands of dollars a year and allowing more flexible use of patient records in research studies while maintaining full HIPPA compliance. -
CeoTr Aeronautics Jan 2010 - Oct 2013I am the co-founder/co-inventor of a disposable ruck-sackable UAS system called LADAR (Low Altitude Disposable Aerial Reconnaissance system). As CEO I manage the high level day to day operations of the company from prototype development to strategies for marketing the product to the DoD.

Research EngineerBoston University Jan 2012 - Nov 2012Boston, Ma, UsDesigned and built a ground robot based on a radio controlled car and integrated a gumstix (OMAP) to allow for full vehicle control using a specialized optical flow algorithm developed at the labWorked on a team of two other engineers to develop a custom quad rotor using 3D printed materials that allowed easy replication and repair while still being flexible enough to be used for testing guidance algorithms. My role was to develop the power electronics, modify the autopilot and ground-station to allow for real time control of the vehicle through an external application (Matlab), and to develop a module payload capable of carrying a camera and on board video processing board (Gumstix) for vision experiments.Worked on a team of engineers to develop a series of quad rotors that were built predominantly out of components that could be easily purchased at retail sporting goods stores. These quad rotors were used in experiments in Texas to evaluate flight patterns of brown bats. (The vehicles needed to be easily repaired in the field using local resources and a small selection of tools that could be packed in an airline carryon) -
Undergraduate Research AssistantBoston University Aug 2007 - Dec 2011Boston, Ma, UsMost of my work involves designing, maintaining, and modifying robotic hardware to support research. I handle real time implementations of control laws for experimentation and demonstration.Research Topics- Control Theory- Human Robotic Interfaces- Navigation and Sensor Management -
Software Engineering InternSterling Point Research, Llc Jan 2010 - Sep 2010Boston, Ma, UsAt Sterling point research I develop hardware and software solutions for prototype UAS systems. -
Teaching AssistantBrown University Jan 2006 - Jul 2009Providence, Rhode Island, UsWorked Part time as a teaching assistant for Brown's summer robotics/embedded systems courses taught by Professor Jerry Daniels in the Biomedical Engineering department. -
Systems Engineering InternApplied Signal Technology May 2008 - Aug 2008UsWorked in Anti-Submarine Warfare Division Synthetic Aperture Sonar Group doing prototyping and mechanical designs for naval counter-intelligence solutions such as PROSAS and TSAS. I spent a month at sea performing sea trials of the company's synthetic aperture sonar system.
