Primary responsibilities include primary role holder of daily monitoring of the VMware ESXi 5.5 environment, consisting of 230+ virtual machines across 12 clusters (monitoring tools include SCOM and SCCM 2012 R2 and vRealize Operations Manager 6.0); monitoring and provisioning storage, including Pure and XIO SAN technologies; configuration and monitoring of backups using Veeam 8.x; monitoring and maintenance of 12 Data Domain appliances, including replication and DDBoost for Veeam; monitoring and maintenance of Active Directory environment, including 15 domain controllers across 12 offices; Symantec Endpoint Protection administration, maintenance of server room equipment; Secondary responsibilities include Exchange 2013 administration and Cisco networking administration.Planned and executed a migration and upgrade of 19 ESXi hosts from vCenter/vSphere 5.1 to vCenter/vSphere 5.5 U2 with no outage of any production virtual machines. ESXi hosts consisted of Dell M910 blades and HP DL360 G8 rack servers. I also updated VM compatibility and VM tools for virtual machines.Researched and recommended a virtualization hardware solution for 10 remote offices, given a set budget for hardware and license purchases. Once selected, I configured and installed 10 Dell VRTX chassis, each with two ESXi hosts running vSphere 5.5 U2. I migrated all data from existing physical servers to new virtual servers, and converted a handful of physical servers to virtual servers where necessary.Installed and configured new Pure flash array, including mapping fiber connections with Cisco fabric manager, creation of LUNs, and creation of VMFS5 datastores.Redesigned the backup solution for all servers, including researching and selecting Veeam Backup and Replication 8.x (CommVault was the previous backup solution). I designed and implemented the Veeam infrastructure, with proxies for each office and DDBoost repositories for backup to Data Domain appliances.

Daily responsibilities include systems administrative tasks such as reviewing system logs for system health; monitoring Symantec Endpoint Protection management console and logs to ensure definitions on all clients are up to date; Exchange 2010 administration, including configuring mailboxes on various end user devices; reviewing spam filter logs and whitelisting/blocking as needed; verify backup integrity with Backup Exec 2010 R3; Windows systems administration; proprietary practice management software administration; troubleshooting and supporting end user issues as they arise, including various peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, digital xray sensors and cone-beam CT scanner; interface with various hardware and software support companies for support calls; other hardware and general maintenance around the office as needed.Priced, sourced and installed complete network setup including Windows 2008 R2 server, Windows 7 workstations, monitor mounts (and other peripherals), network switch, and small business router. Configured limited personal devices for remote VPN access to the office.Migrated office from Windows 2003 domain to Windows 2008 R2 domain, including replacing the PDC, promoting server roles, raising the functional level, and moving proprietary SQL database. Migrated all desktops from Windows XP to Windows 7.Trained NEOMS staff on various changes or upgrades in the office, including practice management software updates, new peripheral operation (such as scanners and digital xray imaging components) and any other technology-related change in the office.
