I started teaching myself to code when I was in middle school and I've been hooked ever since. I made my first dollar selling software in seventh grade, had college courses under by belt before I graduated high school, and got a job writing code before I graduated college with a BS in Computer Science. I've always enjoyed problem solving and coding, so staying ahead of the game never felt like work.Since then, I’ve worked on dozens of projects in various industries including publishing, ecommerce, and trade shows. Today, I’m working as a senior developer with the dynamite team at OfficeSupply.com, and am always juggling side projects on my own time.Over the years I've dabbled in so many languages that they begin to blur together, and new languages and stacks have only gotten easier to pick up. These days my bread and butter is a variation of the LAMP stack with PHP, Javascript, CSS, HTML, and MySQL—with some Python, Ruby, and Bash thrown in—all in a cloud environment running on AWS.I put my technical skills to work solving problems every day, whether I'm writing code, designing systems, reviewing pull requests, adding unit tests, optimizing SEO, or performance tuning. I also enjoy mentoring junior developers, contributing documentation, improving workflows, managing operations, interviewing candidates, and collaborating with non-technical teams.
