I work as a contract employee for the National SEED Project. In this role I assist in training 50 to 100 educators and professionals on topics of diversity and equity during a week long New Leaders training. I also assist in the development of training materials and supporting small group work.

Teaches 7th grade African American History to 70 students. This role requires me to design and implement curriculum and lesson plans. I also lead our school in cultural competency and Responsive Classroom professional development.

Supported 25 schools with over 1,500 students in the implementation and evaluation of evidence-based social and emotional learning curricula and programs. The support of schools included coaching leaders and teachers around implementation by creating strategic and measurable plans. It also included the creation and facilitation of professional development and the evaluation of school and classroom around safe, rigorous, and inclusive learning environments.

As a teacher I am responsible for classroom management, curriculum development and implementation. Additionally, I have had the unique opportunity to be our school's diversity coordinator, where I coordinate and lead school wide diversity events and diversity related professional development.

As a Youth/Family Programming Director my primary responsibility was managing six after school sites, which comprised of 300 plus school age children and 40 plus part-time staff. I also created and managed a budget of approximately $400,000 and was responsible for the departmental payroll. In addition to my managerial responsibilities, I organized annual community outreach events and built and maintained strategic community partnerships.
