Professional Tutor and Founder of Mr Goldspink Maths. Mr Goldspink Maths Ltd is an online tuition service delivering bespoke mathematics learning to students in Middle and High school.Available programs are: 11+, GCSE, IGCSE, Middle School, A-Level and IBDPAA.

Responsible for marking the 1MA1 GCSE examination scripts for the Pearson Edexcel examination board. This provided me with invaluable experience around exam techniques when the new 1MA1 specification was released. It also enhanced my teaching practice greatly. In June 2017 I marked the 1MA1 (2H) GCSE examination as part of the new 9-1 Mathematics Specification.In addition to marking GCSE scripts, in 2016 I also marked the National Curriculum Tests (NCT) sat at the end of Year 6.

Role:- Lead coordinator of the MS Mathematics Competition Programme, providing students with the opportunities in AMC8, UKMT, SMKC and SASMO. In addition, supporting a group of Grade 10's to develop a student led challenge.- Leading a weekly Grade 8 club following the above programme, alongside supporting the teacher in charge of the Grade 7 club.- Liaising with external organisations (SIMCC, UKMT, AMC8 affiliate) and the Finance team at UWCSEA to ensure smooth running of the challenges.

In 2021 I made a dream move to Singapore, teaching middle and high school at a world leading IBDP school. During my 3 years at the school, I delivered a bespoke G6/7/8 program alongside teaching IBDP Analysis and Approaches to Grade 11/12. In 2024, 55% of my Grade 12 students achieved a 6 or 7 in their final IBDP exams, with 8 students reaching the top Grade 7.Summary of my role:- Advisor to a group of Grade 7 students. Supporting daily wellbeing sessions and a week long expedition to Tioman Island in May.- Delivering IBDP Mathematics: Analysis & Approaches to Grade 11 and 12.- Teaching a bespoke UWCSEA middle school Mathematics curriculum to Grades 6, 7 and 8.- Developing and sharing resources alongside an inspiring and collaborative team of teachers.

In my role as HOD, I was responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality lessons from a team of 7 maths teachers across KS3-5. I aim to inspire, lead by example, challenge and support every step of the way.My main responsibility was ensuring all pupils discover the joy of solving problems. Ensuring pupils have access to a broad and challenging curriculum, providing them with the tools with which to become accomplished mathematicians. In addition, overseeing and adapting curriculum models, lessons and assessments for KS3-5 along with two 2iCs.In 2018-19 the Norlington Maths department P8 score was 0.79 - this was the 11th best for boys in a 25-mile radius and the 1st non-selective school.During my time as HOD, our sixth form expanded and Maths became the most popular option choice. Alongside teaching AS and A2 Pure + Statistics at KS5, I also created, marked and assessed all pupils to a high standard.

My main responsibility was to teach Mathematics GCSE and Mathematics AS-Level in an East London Boys School. I aim to plan and deliver creative, engaging and thought-provoking lessons each time I step into the classroom.I have also taught Statistics GCSE in the past. In addition to this, I was responsible for overseeing the KS3 curriculum and organising all lower school maths activities. Working alongside a team of 7 highly skilled teachers and collaborating on projects to deliver an outstanding maths curriculum. As a department our results were above the national average - over 80% grade A*-C in 2014 and 2015.
