As an EMT on a transport ambulance, my roles vary from basic patient care, to lots of interaction with medical facilities case managers, Registered Nurses, and patient family members. My position also includes obtaining and recording basic patient medical information, medical history, medication and allergies. Shortly after starting at this company, I was offered a Field Training Officer position. With this I was certified by American Ambulance to train new employees on general EMS operations, as well as responsibilities expected by the company itself.
