I am a deeply technical problem solver with a passion for helping companies achieve their goals through the acceleration and improvement of their entire software development life cycle. With a background in software development and architecture of distributed high volume transaction processing systems, I went on to specialise in the build, deployment and configuration of software systems as well as the tools and practices that enable this, a field that later became known as “DevOps”.With over 20 years in the IT industry, my career has spanned development and infrastructure operations experience, across both data centre, private and public cloud hosting models. I've worked in large enterprise heavily regulated environments as well as rapidly scaling tech companies.Recently, I've explored the Product Management discipline, to refine my skills in identifying customer and user needs, pains and gains and designing and implementing solutions to solve them.Through all of this, I have become a DevOps advocate and subject matter expert - I know how to apply DevOps tools, principles and practices to help teams, organisations and customers improve, no matter what level of maturity or capability they currently have.I am passionate about measurement and continuous improvement, developer productivity and the DevOps and open source communities.
